UAE’s Commitment to Sustainable Development

The UAE has once again shown its dedication to global sustainable development at the recent United Nations High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) on Sustainable Development 2025 in New York. Events like the "Shaping Tomorrow: UAE Leadership for a Sustainable Future" exhibition served as platforms to foster dialogue with global partners. Notably, a special session organized by the Government Experience Exchange Programme (GEEP) dramatically expanded the UAE’s network, bringing them closer to nearly 50 countries and six international organizations.

The discussions extended to vital topics such as promoting gender balance and child welfare. By addressing the digital gender gap and championing women’s leadership, the UAE demonstrated that these initiatives are crucial for sustainable growth beyond 2030.

Moreover, the UAE showcased its successful cross-border environmental initiatives, like the Green Shield Operation aimed at protecting biodiversity in the Amazon Basin. To top it off, their proactive engagement included 48 bilateral meetings during the forum, fostering international cooperation like never before.
