Eid Surprise: LEGOLAND® Dubai and Dubai Customs Delight Families at Terminal 3

Celebrations during Eid Al Adha took on a new twist this year at Dubai Airport! On June 8, 2025, LEGOLAND® Dubai Resort, in collaboration with Dubai Customs and Dubai Airport, created a delightful surprise for families arriving at Terminal 3. As passengers awaited their luggage at the baggage carousel, kids’ eyes widened in astonishment as special LEGOLAND gift bags began to roll out alongside their bags. Each gift was personally labeled with a child’s name—talk about making someone’s day!

To add to the excitement, famous LEGOLAND characters—Boy and Girl—were on-site to greet families, amplifying the joy of this unexpected welcome. Each gift bag was packed with LEGO® sets, plush toys, and complimentary tickets to the LEGOLAND Dubai Theme Park or Water Park. These tickets are valid until December 3, 2025, making it a perfect incentive for family fun during the holiday season.

The atmosphere was electric, filled with smiles, laughter, and touching reactions. Families expressed their gratitude for such a warm and thoughtful reception as they entered the UAE during Eid. This initiative is more than just a generous gesture; it also embodies the spirit of the UAE’s Year of Community, celebrating unity, generosity, and special moments that bring people together.

Tim Harrison-Jones, General Manager of LEGOLAND Dubai Resort, remarked, “At LEGOLAND Dubai Resort, we aim to create unforgettable moments for families. We wanted to sprinkle some extra magic right at Dubai Airport this Eid. Witnessing the joy on the children’s faces was incredibly heartwarming. We are thankful to our partners at Dubai Customs and the airport for helping us realize this vision.”

Khalid Ahmed, Director of Passenger Operations at Dubai Customs, shared his excitement about contributing to this special initiative. He emphasized that Dubai Customs is dedicated to enhancing the travel experience and supporting Dubai in becoming the world’s tourism capital. “The initiative resonated positively with travelers, making their visit memorable and encouraging return trips,” Ahmed noted. He stressed Dubai Customs’ ongoing commitment to ensuring smooth passenger movement, particularly during busy periods like holidays or major events.

Overall, this delightful surprise by LEGOLAND and Dubai Customs is a testament to the warm hospitality that Dubai is known for. Whether you are a first-time visitor or returning for another holiday, the city’s unique charms are sure to leave lasting memories. So, who knows? You might just find a little magic waiting for you at the airport too!
